K-State Graduate School Summer Newsletter

Greetings from the Kansas State University Graduate School!

I hope you are enjoying your summer activities and have an opportunity for a fun and relaxing vacation. The summer issue of the Graduate School enewsletter features two alumni who have experienced many successes during their careers. We are pleased to recognize Warren Staley, who was awarded an honorary doctorate by the university, and Dr. Patricia Solis, who provides insight into the value of international experiences. This issue also highlights the awards and recognition of many of our outstanding current graduate students.

The enewsletter can be viewed at: https://enewsletters.k-state.edu/graduateschool/

K-State alumni in San Juan, Puerto Rico are invited to join me and other alumni for an informal reception on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. If you are interested in participating, please email me at shanklin@ksu.edu for additional details. I am looking forward to interacting with you and providing an update on graduate programs at K-State.

Some major updates are being made to the Graduate School website. One of the new updates that I am most excited about is the ability to feature quotes and profiles of K-State Graduate School alumni on the website. If you are interested in being featured on our website (or have a suggestion of someone), please complete an Alumni Profiles form at https://ksugsc.wufoo.com/forms/graduate-school-alumni-profiles/.

Thank you for your continued support of K-State and our graduate programs.

Best,

Carol W. Shanklin, Ph.D., R.D., Dean
